If you use Bing as the primary search engine, there often arises the need to remove certain sites from search results. For instance, you don’t want to see too many forum-based results, as is the case with Google. So, let’s find out how to exclude a website from Bing search results!

How do I remove a site from Bing search results?
1. Use the Negative search operator
If you want to block a specific website for a given query, simply use the negative (-) search operator in Bing. To do that, enter the query followed by -site:domainname.
For instance, if you don’t want Reddit to appear in the Bing search results, the function to be appended becomes –site:reddit.com. Similarly, for Stack Overflow, it becomes -site:stackoverflow.com.

If you want to remove multiple websites, append them all to the search query. Say, to remove both Reddit and StackOverflow, the function becomes –site:reddit.com -site:stackoverflow.com.

Although it allows you to block multiple websites from Bing search at once, typing them all out can be a challenge when done frequently. So, in that case, you should opt for a dedicated browser extension instead of the negative search operator, as explained next!
2. Use the uBlacklist extension
- Go to the Chrome Web Store, click on Add to Chrome to download the uBlacklist extension, and confirm the change.
- Once done, click on Extensions in the toolbar, choose uBlacklist, and select Options.
- Enter the URL(s) for the website(s) you wish to exclude in the provided format, and click on Save.
- For instance, if you want to remove Reddit, the URL becomes, *://.reddit.com/*. Basically, replace example.com with the domain in the following:
*://.example.com/*
- Once done, scroll down and click on Enable next to Other search engines.
- Select Bing from the list, and again click on Enable.
With the uBlacklist extension, you can exclude any website from Bing search results automatically. And unlike other options, uBlacklist allows you to block as many websites from Bing search, with the changes effective immediately. I have tried countless options, and uBlacklist is by far the best!
The extension, though primarily for Google, works across a range of other search engines like Bing, Brave, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, Yandex, and Kagi, amongst others!
That’s how you can remove any website from Bing search for curated and personalized results. So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and exclude all such sites immediately for an elevated search experience!
